We are a 501c(4) organization, functioning as a Mutual Aid Society, to address the overwhelming increase in housing costs throughout Chaffee County. Our vision is for people of the community to be able to find housing at an affordable price and to assist people in navigating through the challenges of renting in this community. Currently, our main focus is rental subsidies.
We are a new organization. Our Board of Directors has five members. We have a Fundraising committee and an Affordable Housing Subsidy Grant Committee. Currently all officers, directors, and committee members reside in the town of Salida. We formed this organization because we are on the front lines of the housing crisis and we feel compelled to help.
