About Our Board Structure: SCOF operates with a governance-focused board that provides oversight, strategic direction, and mission alignment—while daily operations remain solely under the authority of the Executive Director. Our board meets monthly for 1.5 hours, with optional subcommittee participation depending on skills and interest. Board members serve as thought partners, stewards of the mission, and protectors of organizational health—not operational managers. The Board President serves as the board’s leader and partner to the Executive Director, ensuring smooth governance and strong organizational alignment.
