EVENT IS RECONFIGURED DUE TO BAD WEATHER!
We are reconfiguring Clean Up Green Up due to bad weather on Saturday, May 21. Participants are encouraged to reschedule cleanup for their area on another day within the next two weeks. Stop by Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (AHRA) at 307 W. Sackett Avenue for supplies such as bags and gloves, plus a gift card for lunch at Subway, anytime Monday through Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm. GARNA and AHRA will help with trash disposal if needed, but please call ahead to make arrangements at 719-539-5106.
Annual Arkansas River Green Up Clean Up & Colorado Public Lands Day.
Join AHRA and GARNA for the annual Clean Up Green Up along the Arkansas River.
Pick a location in the Arkansas River Watershed (from Granite to Cañon City) to pick up trash. Trash can be left at any AHRA location behind the welcome sign.
Volunteer check-in between 8:30-9:30am in at the following locations to pick up supplies and get a volunteer picnic lunch voucher:
- Salida: AHRA Visitor Center
- BV: Public Works
- Cañon City: Parkdale AHRA Site
A volunteer picnic will follow the event from 12-2pm:
- Salida: Vandaveer Ranch
- BV: Public Works
- Cañon City: Parkdale AHRA Site
