Description

Join The Alliance in providing compassionate, confidential support to individuals experiencing domestic or sexual violence. As a Hotline Volunteer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that anyone in crisis has someone to listen, believe, and connect them to help — 24 hours a day.

What You’ll Do:

  • Answer calls on The Alliance’s 24/7 Help Line, offering emotional support, safety planning, and referrals to resources.

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while responding to individuals in crisis.

  • Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to ensure quality, trauma-informed care.

Training & Support:
All Hotline Volunteers complete 30 hours of free training, covering:
confidentiality • advocacy • dynamics of domestic violence • effects on children • legal systems • documentation • accountability practices.

Ongoing support continues through monthly meetings with the Advocacy Program Manager to debrief, receive guidance, and strengthen your skills.

Commitment:
Because consistency matters to those we serve, Hotline Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of one year of service after training.

This role is ideal for empathetic, calm, and reliable volunteers who want to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
