Hutchinson Homestead Tour & Visitor Support
Help Bring Local Agricultural History to Life
Guidestone Colorado is looking for volunteers to support the Hutchinson Homestead & Learning Center in Poncha Springs this summer. Volunteers will help create a welcoming experience for visitors while supporting the preservation and interpretation of this important local heritage site.
Volunteer Roles
Volunteers are needed to:
Help lead guided tours of the Homestead
Welcome and assist visitors at the Visitor Center
Support grounds maintenance and upkeep around the property
Schedule
Saturdays & Sundays, 1–4 PM
June through September
Guided tours officially open:
Saturday, June 14 | 1–4 PM
Flexible participation is welcome — volunteers do not need to commit every weekend.
About the Hutchinson Homestead & Learning Center
The Hutchinson Homestead & Learning Center is a heritage site that bridges the past to the future of agriculture in our community. Operated by Guidestone Colorado in partnership with the Town of Poncha Springs and the Hutchinson Family, the site serves as a dynamic historical, cultural, and agricultural education center for current and future generations.
Guidestone first became involved at the Homestead in 2011 through Farmhands children’s programming, and since 2015 has served as the lead organization managing operations, educational programming, and community events at the site.
